Moldova’s collaboration with the European Union concerning security, internal affairs, and the integration agenda, alongside the current regional dynamics amid the conflict in Ukraine, were focal points during a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, as reported by the government’s communication department.

Prime Minister Recean expressed sincere appreciation for the support extended to Moldova in its journey toward European Union accession, emphasizing its strategic importance. He underscored the government’s dedication to implementing comprehensive reforms, with particular emphasis on justice, investment attraction, and economic revitalization.

In response, Commissioner Ylva Johansson emphasized that ensuring state security and combating corruption are pivotal elements for Moldova’s progress and success on its European trajectory. She commended the contributions of the EU Security HUB in Moldova, recognizing its significance in enhancing security measures.
