During the meeting, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers declared that the Chisinau Government will prioritize its efforts in the next period of time, in order to harmonize the national legislation with the European one.

“The Republic of Moldova has a great friend and supporter in Brussels, in the person of Mrs. Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament. I was happy to see her again today and to convey my gratitude to the Government and the people of the Republic of Moldova for all the support they give us. During the official meeting we had, we discussed the areas we will focus on in the next period. One of the priorities is the harmonization of national and European legislation”, Gavrilița declared.

According to the prime minister, the meeting also discussed the implementation of the nine conditions formulated by the European Commission for opening the accession negotiations of the Republic of Moldova to the EU.

“We will continue to walk the path of European integration, despite all the crises we have faced or are still facing, primarily because it is for the benefit of our citizens. At the same time, we intend not only to be beneficiaries of the assistance offered by the EU, but also to contribute, in our turn, to border security and efforts to ensure peace and security on the European continent”, Gavrilița also said.

In this context, the Prime Minister stated that “the constant support of our European partners mobilizes us to move forward quickly on all the reforms we have proposed.”
