Promo-LEX Reports Early Electoral Activities by Political Parties Ahead of Official Campaign Start

Promo-LEX reports that several political parties have begun early electoral activities ahead of the official campaign, which is scheduled to start on August 29. Their monitoring team observed that during this pre-electoral period, multiple parties organized promotional events.

They emphasize that electoral campaigning is legally permitted only after candidate registration and no earlier than 30 days before the vote. However, they clarify that current party actions may qualify as political promotion if they are not directly linked to candidate initiatives or promotion groups.

Promo-LEX noted that PAS launched a national campaign to inform the public about its achievements and EU integration plans. PSRM promoted a “sovereign policy” by distributing materials and collecting signatures. Other parties, such as PPMM, PRIM, PPVM, MRM, BE Alternative, and BP Together, conducted online campaigns, held citizen meetings, and participated in protests, while presenting their political programs.
