PSRM leader Igor Dodon attended the official opening of the International Conference of Sister Cities in China. The ceremony was also attended by Zhang Qingwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China; Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; representatives of the leadership of Shaanxi Province; and representatives from more than 60 countries, including former Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă.

“Participating in this international forum convinces me once again of China’s unique ability to build constructive relations with countries from different regions of the world, regardless of their political and economic characteristics. The contemporary world has no other rational path than cooperation and the identification of mutually acceptable solutions in the interests of our common future. Today, China represents the leading example of this approach in global politics,” Igor Dodon said.

PSRM representatives in local communities have already signed bilateral agreements with dozens of cities and regions in different countries, including several cities in China. They intend to expand this network of partnerships to attract new development opportunities for local communities.
