REALITATEA Media Group launches a radio station in Moldova, featuring calm and pleasant music

REALITATEA Media Group is launching a new radio station in Moldova—”REALITATEA FM” set to broadcast on 98.6 MHz. The Audiovisual Council (CA) granted the broadcasting license on March 12, 2025. The station will have a dedicated editorial team responsible for audio production and implementing the broadcasting schedule and editorial policy.

“REALITATEA FM” will be developed as a standalone media product targeting Moldova’s radio audience. Its music programming will focus on calm and relaxing music, featuring contemporary pieces and songs from the past 30-40 years, including a mandatory selection of local music. The station aims to evoke nostalgia, tranquility, and positivity through its musical choices.

The genres covered will include jazz, blues, bossa nova, pop, rock, reggae, soul, folk, instrumental, and classical music, with a strong European influence and a dedicated space for local creations. “REALITATEA FM” aspires to match the quality of renowned European music stations, aiming to create a calm and pleasant atmosphere for its listeners.

“I want to congratulate my colleagues for their hard work and this achievement. We still have a lot to develop to make our society happier and more informed. Soon, Chisinau residents will have a special radio station with great music and programs encouraging critical thinking. ‘REALITATEA FM’ will follow two main directions: intellectual and cultural enrichment. We are eager to launch it as soon as possible to bring joy to the capital’s residents,” said Dumitru Tira, CEO of REALITATEA Media Group.

“REALITATEA FM” is set to operate 24/7, non-stop.

Dumitru Tira and a team of seven journalists founded REALITATEA Media Group in 2014. Bright Communications SRL manages the group, which operates transparently and upholds the values of freedom of expression and responsible journalism.
