Recean, following the referendum results: We must take this as a lesson. We need to work more with those who voted NO

Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized that the government must learn from the referendum results. He acknowledged that, although attempts were made to manipulate the vote, the citizens firmly expressed their choice.

The official expressed gratitude to all citizens who participated in the vote. He also emphasized the need for more mobilization at the polling stations for the second round of the presidential elections.

“I want to begin by expressing my gratitude to everyone who participated in the vote. I thank each of you. Despite numerous attempts to manipulate the election and spread propaganda, citizens voted YES in the referendum, allowing us to build our country based on a European model. (…)

We, the Government, need to learn a lesson. We must work even harder with those who voted NO. We should engage, continue the dialogue, and not expose ourselves to electoral fraud. I thank those at home and those in the diaspora who voted. For the upcoming round on November 3, our goal is for everyone to come out and vote freely and consciously. They cannot manipulate the outcome as long as we vote,” declared Dorin Recean.
