Freedom House invites you to register for the 2024 Media Policy Forum which is organized on May 23, 2024, at the Mediacor Headquarters, located at Alexei Mateevici str. 60, Chisinau. The event is organized by Freedom House in partnership with Internews, with the financial support of U.S. Embassy in Moldova, USAID, British Embassy in Chisinau, Friedrich Naumann Foundation For Freedom and Soros Foundation Moldova.
At the Forum, the discussions will host the presentation of the expert gap analysis of the Moldovan audiovisual media legislation in relation to the European legal framework, potential threats and opportunities emerging in the advertising and competition market, as well as trends in the regulation of the online environment in Moldova, the importance of internet freedom, especially in the context of national and regional security developments will be also tackled. The Forum will bring together Moldovan civil society, independent media, representatives of the Parliament, the Government, the Audiovisual Council and other state institutions, academia, local representatives of international organizations, and the donor community.
