Renato Usatii, leader of the Partidul Nostru parliamentary faction and chair of Moldova’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with the United Arab Emirates, met with Sara Mohammad Falaknaz, chair of the UAE Federal National Council’s Parliamentary Friendship Committee with European parliaments.
The meeting focused on developing cooperation between the legislative bodies of Moldova and the UAE, as well as strengthening contacts between the two countries’ governments and relevant ministries.
“We discussed developing cooperation between the legislative bodies of our countries. We placed particular emphasis on strengthening interaction between governments and relevant ministries, developing direct contacts between business representatives, attracting investment and implementing joint projects on mutually beneficial terms,” Usatii said.
The Moldovan MP also highlighted Falaknaz’s experience in business and innovative projects.
“Her professionalism, pragmatic approach and genuine interest in developing relations between our countries give us confidence that this cooperation will produce concrete results,” Usatii said.
The two sides also discussed a planned visit to Moldova by representatives of the UAE Federal National Council.
Moldova’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the UAE, Anatol Vangheli, also attended the meeting. The Moldovan and UAE parliaments established friendship groups in 2026 to strengthen interparliamentary dialogue and cooperation.
