RLIVE TV has debuted a new segment “A Good Wine with Mihai Drutsa,” showcasing expert wine reviews. This edition spotlights Frati from Castel Mimi, a blend of Malbec and Merlot. Sommelier Mihai Drutsa offers an in-depth review after analyzing the wine’s label, aroma, and taste, bani.md reports.
“The wine displays an intense red hue with ruby reflections,” notes Mihai Drutsa. “You can see the ‘legs’ on the glass, indicating the wine’s richness. Its aroma is full of overripe red fruits, blackcurrant, dried plum, and a hint of spice—balanced by a delicate caramel nuance, suggesting excellent aging in French oak barrels.”
With an alcohol content of 14.5%, Frati is a dry red wine aged eight months in French oak barrels before bottling. According to the sommelier, this wine is an ideal pairing for Easter meals, especially those featuring meat and traditional lamb dishes.
