Romania and the Republic of Moldova may jointly participate in EU-led missions

Moldova’s Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii and Romania’s National Defence Minister Angel Tilvar have signed the second protocol amending the Agreement on military cooperation between the governments of Romania and Moldova. The first protocol ministers signed in Chisinau on April 20, 2012.

The updated document outlines mutual support in joint training and participation in missions and operations under the aegis of international organizations, such as the European Union.

The protocol signing is crucial for enhancing Moldova’s resilience.

Angel Tilvar also emphasized that Romania’s defense and security assistance to Moldova is multifaceted, respects Moldova’s neutrality, and will be continually adapted to meet the needs of the National Army’s transformation and modernization.
