Romgaz opened a branch in Chisinau. It is the largest producer and main natural gas supplier in Romania. The company’s press release reported it.
The State Services Agency registered it on May 16. Romgaz wants to contribute to ensuring the security of natural gas supplies to Moldova. The step taken today creates preconditions for achieving this goal,” Romgaz Director General Razvan Popescu said.
The authorities listed Romgaz on the stock exchanges in Bucharest and London. The main owner is the Romanian state, which holds a 70% stake. The company has extensive experience in natural gas prospecting and production, with a history dating back more than a hundred years to 1909.
