Asked about Russia’s latest threats against Moldovan President Maia Sandu, because Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova compared her policy to that of the Third Reich, prime Minister Ciolacu referred to Russia’s hybrid war against Chisinau.
“Maia Sandu is the only European and democratic solution for the Republic of Moldova. There is no other democratic solution than Maia Sandu. Because Maia Sandu has elections, Romania will help the Republic of Moldova because there are Romanians in the Republic of Moldova. There is no more Moldovan language there. There is a Romanian language, and there are Romanians. It is difficult at this moment for dictator Putin to expand his front. It is a hybrid war. It is normal to have these threats, but there is also a military logic, which shows that if there is an armed war in Ukraine, there is a hybrid war in the Republic of Moldova”, stressed Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
