At an event at Chisinau International Airport, Wizz Air announced the allocation of a third Airbus A320 aircraft to its Chisinau base, starting October 26, 2025. This strategic expansion will include six new routes, further connecting the Republic of Moldova with Europe and beyond.
Starting from October 26, 2025, Wizz Air will complete its direct flight schedule from Chisinau with the following destinations:
- Bari, Italy – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday;
- Athens, Greece – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday;
- Billund, Denmark – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday;
- Maastricht, Netherlands – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday;
- Milan Bergamo, Italy – every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday;
- Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Germany – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The route to Maastricht is a first for Wizz Air. It will give Moldovan passengers the chance to visit this unique destination.

The allocation of the third aircraft will also allow for increased flight frequencies on two existing routes: Chisinau – Paris Beauvais and Chisinau – Berlin. These adjustments will provide more options and flexibility when planning trips.
