The Socialists propose that Parliament adopt a resolution in support of Donald Trump’s peace plan, the PSRM leader Igor Dodon said, claiming that the authorities in Moldova remain silent.
Dodon stated that the authorities in Chisinau appear to be waiting for instructions from outside, including from what he described as the globalist network and Soros. The former president argued that the government must adopt a clear and responsible position.
“Most of our citizens want peace and stability in the region to be restored as soon as possible. That is why, today more than ever, we must promote steps focused on dialogue and a peaceful settlement. We have begun preparing a draft parliamentary resolution and hope that all parliamentary forces will show responsibility and support this initiative,” Dodon said.
At the end of 2025, Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are expected to hold new talks aimed at reaching a peace agreement on the war in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump recently met at Mar-a-Lago, Florida. The two leaders discussed disputed issues related to ending the war and noted significant progress, with the US leader stating that peace could be achieved within a few weeks.
