Moldovan artists SunStroke Project and Olia Tira participated in the international festival Het Grote Songfestivalfeest, held on 20 November 2025 at the Ziggo Dome arena in Amsterdam. The event gathered more than 20,000 spectators and annually brings together Eurovision winners and renowned performers.
SunStroke Project performed two songs, including “Run Away,” presented as a duet with Olia Tira. This marked their first joint performance in 15 years, since the original rendition that brought Moldova international recognition and sparked the global Epic Sax Guy phenomenon.
For Olia Tira, the duet represented a return to the international stage, as she was included in the festival programme and warmly welcomed by the audience.
The artists also performed “Hey Mamma,” the song that earned Moldova its best result in Eurovision history.
Clips from their performance quickly spread on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Weibo. Media outlets in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, EU countries, China, and the Baltic states published coverage about the artists.
The festival reaffirmed the international audience’s interest in Moldovan performers and strengthened Moldova’s presence in the European music scene. SunStroke Project say they are preparing new international appearances and future projects.
Olia Tira is working on new solo material and planning her own releases and initiatives, which will be announced later.
