SURVEY: The number of Moldovans who want to participate in the referendum has increased. More than 55% would vote “YES”

The number of citizens who plan to participate in the referendum has increased from August to October, and more than 55% will support including the European direction in Moldova’s Constitution. The data was presented in the latest pre-election survey by the Watchdog community.

According to the research, if 65.8% of Moldovans stated they would vote in the referendum and presidential elections in August 2024, that figure rose to 76.3% by October. Currently, 3.1% will not participate in either election, and 5.3% are still undecided about whether they will go to the polls.

The number of Moldovans willing to support the country’s European integration increased from August to September. In August, 52.2% were in favor, but by October, 55.1% of voters were ready to vote “YES.”

CBS Research conducted the survey commissioned by the Watchdog community between October 11 and 16, 2024. The representative sample included 1,034 eligible voters, with a margin of error of +/—3.05%.
