The Iasi Airport will set up a parking area designated for public transport arriving from the Republic of Moldova. The airport’s director, Romeo Vatra, announced the decision to launch the design procedure, IPN reports.

According to Romeo Vatra, buses that connect the airport with various cities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova will use this area. Next year, the airport will carry out the design and construction procedures.

The airport plans to put the parking area into operation in 2027.

“We will create a separate parking zone dedicated to public transport, where we will provide parking spaces for coaches, buses, minibuses, cars offering alternative ride-sharing services, as well as taxis that are not authorized to wait in front of the terminals,” said the director of the Iasi Airport.
