The Ambassador of Romania at ANRE: With common efforts, we will find optimal solutions

The general director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation had a meeting with the plenipotentiary ambassador to Romania in the Republic of Moldova, Cristian-Leon Turcanu. Veaceslav Untila expressed thanks to the Romanian state for the considerable support given to the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the most serious energy crisis that our country faces.

“The reaction of the authorities in Bucharest was prompt when the Republic of Moldova risked running out of electricity. Romania is the only source of electricity, ensuring the consumption requirement of our country”, said Veaceslav Untila.

“Romania has been and remains a friend and a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova and shortly, optimal measures will surely be identified to overcome this energy crisis. With common efforts we will find the optimal solutions”, noted Cristian-Leon Turcanu.

During the meeting were addressed topics related to the implementation of strategic projects, which will ensure the energy security of the Republic of Moldova and will lead to the diversification of the sources of import of electricity. Also, the alternative sources of natural gas that can be delivered in other ways in our country, to ensure the necessary volumes, have been discussed.
