Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said that reports about an arms factory allegedly authorized by the government represent part of a Russian manipulation campaign. He stated that the enterprise produces hunting ammunition.

According to Igor Grosu, the company has already delivered such products, although he does not know whether it sold them in Moldova or abroad. He emphasized that the activity is legal.

“We are not talking about a military industry. Only state institutions can produce military equipment, including ammunition, not private companies. In this case, the company produces hunting cartridges. We have a hunters association, and people practice this activity. I do not practice it myself, but others do. This company legally obtained the right to produce hunting ammunition. It produced and delivered these products, although I do not know whether the deliveries took place domestically or abroad.

This represents a very clear campaign, another example of manipulation and the promotion of narratives by the aggressor state, the Russian Federation,” Igor Grosu said.

The leader of the Democracy at Home party, Vasile Costiuc, accused the authorities on Wednesday of allegedly allowing investments related to the production of weapons and ammunition in the Republic of Moldova. He claimed that the company Dynamic Alloy Engineering from Ungheni received approval for this activity from the Council for the Promotion of Investment Projects.
