The bombings in Ukraine disconnected Moldova from Ukrainian energy

Starting today, October 11, the Republic of Moldova receives all electricity from Cuciurgan. The announcement was made by the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu.

“Today, starting at 03:00 in the morning, October 11, 2022, the Republic of Moldova receives full electricity from MGRES. This is possible because MoldovaGaz has additionally allocated to MGRES 0.9 million m3 of gas to produce the electricity needed for 24 hours. Now our priority is to provide the country for the next period with electricity at the lowest possible price in this complicated situation”.

According to him, yesterday he had talks with Ukraine, Romania, the European Union to find together a good solution for Moldovans.
