The consequences of the war in Ukraine for our country, as well as the measures taken by the authorities to reduce their impact, were discussed today, August 29, by the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, with a group of politicians and businessmen led by Lord Daniel Hannan , member of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
At the same time, Moldovan-British relations were also addressed during the discussions.
“I expressed my gratitude to the British people for the solidarity shown during this difficult period, but also for the support given to the Republic of Moldova over the years,” said Grosu.
The President of the Parliament also mentioned that he agreed to advance cooperation in areas such as – economic, environmental and energy protection, the development of renewable energy, combating propaganda and fake news, and last but not least, attracting investments to our country.
“We have a complicated winter ahead of us, but through unity and true friends, we will get through it,” Grosu concluded.
