The Parliamentary Committee for National Security, Defense, and Public Order of the Republic of Moldova will hold hearings on April 22 to clarify the circumstances of the Ludmila Vartic case.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova and the General Prosecutor’s Office of Moldova will participate in the meeting.

According to information reported in public space, on March 3, Ludmila Vartic reportedly died after falling from an upper floor of a residential building in the capital. Subsequent reports alleged that she may have been assaulted by her husband, the vice president of the Hincesti District Council, who later resigned and denied the accusations.

Authorities have questioned more than 30 people in connection with the case, and the couple’s children have given testimony under special conditions. Prosecutors and police in the capital continue to investigate the circumstances.

At the same time, officials confirmed that Ludmila Vartic’s body will be exhumed for additional forensic examinations as part of a renewed expert analysis conducted by a designated commission.
