The CEC has given the green light for the printing of ballots for the parliamentary elections on September 28

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has begun printing ballot papers for the parliamentary elections on September 28, which will be used at polling stations across the Republic of Moldova.

The CEC will print a total of 2,772,255 ballots, including:

  • 2,117,039 in Romanian
  • 649,573 in Russian
  • 3,400 in Gagauz
  • 1,827 in Bulgarian
  • 416 in Romani

For polling stations in localities on the left bank of the Dniester River, CEC will print 23,500 ballots: 14,500 in Romanian and 9,000 in Russian.

Each ballot costs 0.69 lei, bringing the total expenditure to 1,929,070.95 lei.

The CEC specifies that the ballots will feature 23 squares, measuring 14 cm wide and 58.7 cm long, printed on opaque sky-blue paper. Electoral competitors’ names will appear in capital letters of equal size, using the same font, in the order established by the Commission.
