The chairs of the European affairs committees from four EU countries are visiting Chisinau. Who will they meet with?

The chairs of the European affairs committees of the parliaments of Italy, Greece, Spain, and Portugal will pay a joint visit to the Republic of Moldova from June 13 to 16. During the visit, the officials will meet with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.

The agenda includes a joint meeting between Parliament’s Committee on European Integration and the European affairs committees of the four countries. Participants will discuss Moldova’s European integration path, progress in the EU accession process, the implementation of reforms, and the alignment of national legislation with the EU acquis. They will also examine preparations for opening negotiations on the first accession clusters.

After the meeting, the Chair of the Committee on European Integration, Marcel Spatari, and the European officials will hold a joint press briefing on Monday, June 15, at 12:20 p.m. in the Europa Hall foyer.

The delegation’s program also includes a meeting between the leadership of the Committee on European Integration, the visiting European officials, and students of Moldova State University.
