The Moldovan project “The Code of the Nation” has been selected among the top three finalist formats at the prestigious “Pitch & Play LIVE!” competition at NATPE Budapest 2025, the largest platform dedicated to TV content in Central and Eastern Europe. The format will gain international visibility through promotion on partner media platforms such as CEETV and TVBIZZ—two of the most influential sources in the global television industry.
NATPE Budapest 2025 opened this year’s edition with record participation: over 750 delegates from over 65 countries, including 400 content buyers and over 100 exhibitors and partners.
The program includes pitch sessions, exclusive screenings, and conferences with industry leaders such as YouTube, AMC Networks, RTL, and Sony Pictures.

The “Pitch & Play LIVE!” competition is one of the market’s main attractions, providing a launch pad for the most promising unscripted formats in the region.
“The Code of the Nation” is the first original format developed entirely by Realitatea. Its selection as a finalist highlights its strong potential for international distribution. I am glad to have had the opportunity to present this project to the directors of some of the largest European production companies,” said Sergiu Scobioala, RLIVE TV’s general producer.
“The Code of the Nation” is an original documentary-reality produced by Realitatea Media Group and broadcast on RLIVE TV. The show explores the cultural identity of Moldova through the personal stories of representatives of ethnic minorities who discover their roots through real DNA tests. Each episode combines authentic footage from communities, emotional interviews, and moments of personal revelation, building a narrative about diversity, coexistence, and rediscovering one’s identity. The Creative Content Support Fund (Content Fund) supports the project, an international initiative promoting relevant and innovative media content.
