Igor Grosu emphasized Romania’s role as Moldova’s trusted friend and partner.
“Romania remains Moldova’s reliable friend and partner. In discussions with the Interim President of the Romanian Senate, Mircea Abrudean, who is visiting Chisinau, we reviewed ongoing projects on our shared agenda.

We are strengthening energy interconnections through the Balti-Suceava and Straseni-Gutinas power lines. We are also building four new bridges over the Prut River—Stanca–Costesti, Bumbata–Leova, Falciu–Leca, and Raducaneni–Barboieni—along with the new Ungheni–Ungheni bridge, which is part of the Union Highway. On April 26, we will hold a symbolic event at the construction site of this bridge. These efforts, supported by Romania and the European Union, bring Moldova closer to energy security and stronger connectivity with European infrastructure,” Igor Grosu stated.

Mircea Abrudean continues his visit to Moldova today, March 25. At the Government headquarters, he will meet with Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.
