A commemorative coin dedicated to film director Emil Loteanu will mark the 90th anniversary of his birth. It will be presented to the public on November 6 during an event at Cineplex Loteanu, as part of the cultural project “Loteanu Week in Moldova”, initiated by the Realitatea Media Group.
The event will bring together representatives of the cultural and artistic community and will feature the launch of an album-book about the director’s life and work, as well as the presentation of a documentary dedicated to Emil Loteanu, directed by Max Ciorbă.
The “Loteanu Week in Moldova” project aims to bring renewed public attention to the work of the filmmaker, who brought the name of the Republic of Moldova to the international film scene.
During the campaign, Realitatea TV will broadcast one of Emil Loteanu’s films every evening at 9:00 p.m.: The Fiddlers, My Sweet and Tender Beast, The Gypsies Are Found Near Heaven, and Anna Pavlova.
