The oligarch Ilan Shor and Marina Tauber have lost their appeal at the European Court of Justice, where they sought the lifting of sanctions imposed against them, reports IPN. The decision was made on Wednesday, December 18, by the General Court, which confirmed the restrictive measures against Shor and Tauber and their role in organizing the destabilization of the Republic of Moldova.
Shor and Tauber had requested the General Court of the European Union to annul these acts and grant financial compensation for the moral damages they claimed to have suffered due to the sanctions.
In the rulings issued on Wednesday, the General Court rejected their actions, concluding that the legal acts fall within the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy framework.
