The Tango Argentino Moldova School, the first Argentine tango community in the Republic of Moldova, celebrated 15 years of activity on May 25. Dancer Tatiana Gordinscaia founded the school and now offers Argentine tango classes for beginners and advanced learners, as well as regular dance evenings where participants can practice and connect.
Corina Morozan has been dancing tango for 10 years and plays an active role in the community.
“I discovered Tango Argentino Moldova completely by chance. I was studying acting in Bucharest, and our teacher recommended dance—ballet or tango—as a tool for personal development, discipline, and expressiveness. When I returned home, I searched and found this community. And I never left,” Corina shared.

She felt overwhelmed with emotions during her first dance evening experience.
“It took me about six months to gather the courage to go. I was nervous—I saw the others and couldn’t imagine being in their place. But I went, and I did it. Tango catches you differently every day—that’s its beauty,” the dancer said.
Over the past 15 years, the school has hosted two dance marathons and three international festivals, inviting masters and world champions from Argentina, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, and Spain.
For those considering giving it a try, Corina offers a clear message:
“The first step is simple: just try it. You can’t learn tango by reading books or watching YouTube—it demands real-life experience. A single lesson can change everything. It’s a gift you give yourself,” Morozan emphasized
