Starting from January 1, 2024, the lump-sum allowance for the birth of a child will be almost doubled, from 10900 lei to 20,000 lei. The government approved a decision to this effect today.
The National Social Insurance Agency estimates that about 33,115 children will benefit from the lump-sum birth allowance in 2024.
