After many years of degradation, the Chisinau City Hall launched a large-scale renovation of the Green Theater in 2022, and the venue was reopened to the public in 2023. Since then, it has hosted numerous performances and concerts, offering residents and visitors of the capital events featuring renowned national and international artists.

Built in 1967 by architects Anatol Kolotovkin and Tatiana Lomova, the venue was known as the Summer Theater during the Soviet period.

Located in Valea Morilor Park, the Green Theater has a capacity of 7,000 seats.

During the first stage of the renovation, all seats were replaced and the spectator area was repaved. The second stage included replacing the entrance gates to the amphitheater and constructing a modular sanitary block.

At the building located at the theater’s entrance, windows, the main door, and two side doors were replaced. The steps leading to the stage and the surrounding area were repaired, while decorative lighting was installed to highlight the façade and the theater’s name at night. Access paths to the amphitheater were also improved.
