Realitatea Film showcased its project, “Codul Națiunii / Heritage Code / Код нации,” at the International Factual Forum during MIA – Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo in Rome, a platform supported by Paramount.

The selection included European and South African formats covering a wide range of themes: shoe design competitions, human–animal connections, inflatable art transforming city life, children retracing Marco Polo’s journeys, youth POV perspectives on today’s world, the 18+ creator economy, and rapid water rescue missions. This mix highlighted the industry’s focus on socially relevant, multiplatform factual content with regional distribution potential.

The “Heritage Code” explores personal identity through DNA testing and genealogy, following the stories of Moldovan citizens and reviving forgotten traditions. Sergiu Scobioala, General Producer at Realitatea, presented the project in Rome.

“Participating in the International Factual Forum gave us valuable meetings with partners from Europe. For Moldovan audiovisual productions, selections like this show that locally developed formats can travel internationally and grow through co-productions,” he said.
