The Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova (ISS) has told electronic communication service providers to block access to seven Russian websites. According to the authorities, the content they publish threatens our country’s national security.
Access from the Republic of Moldova to the platforms nuacum.eu, ng.ru, ria.ru, gazetacrimea.ru, crimea.gov.ru, crimea.ria.ru and crimea24tv.ru will be restricted for up to 48 hours. The information was confirmed for Realitatea by the ISS spokeswoman Daniela Manzat.
We note that this is not the first time the ISS has requested such measures from suppliers. Earlier, for example, access to dozens of other Russian news portals, including the state news agency TASS, was restricted.

The last such address from security officials came in August 2024. Authorities requested the blocking of Russia’s Prosveazbank’s official website following statements by Gagauzia’s governor Eugenia Gutsul about distributing financial aid to the region’s population through the bank.
