The largest photovoltaic park in the Republic of Moldova is a Chinese investment worth about 4 million euros, located in the Criuleni district.

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu discussed the project and the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Moldova and China during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Moldova, Zhihua Dong.

According to a government press release, 81 companies with Chinese capital currently operate in the Republic of Moldova. The two sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation in tourism, increasing cultural exchanges, and strengthening academic collaboration. They also mentioned plans to sign a cooperation agreement on teaching the Chinese language in Moldovan educational institutions.

Moldova exports several products to China, including wines, ethyl alcohol, wires and cables, measuring and control instruments, and machinery. Moldovan exporters also supply grape seed flour and sunflower seed flour to the Chinese market.
