Three Moldovan citizens died in a traffic accident that occurred in Cluj County, Romania. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) confirmed the information.
The MFA released the following statement regarding the tragic traffic accident involving a minibus registered in the Republic of Moldova:
”According to preliminary data from local authorities, the minibus was traveling from Poland when it veered into the opposite lane and collided with a truck.
The accident killed three Moldovan citizens. Emergency crews transported the other five passengers — including a three-month-old infant — to the hospital. After medical evaluation, two injured individuals did not require hospitalization. Medical staff transferred the family with the infant to the Pediatric Hospital in Cluj-Napoca for further investigations.
The MFA reported that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest maintains direct contact with the accident victims and Romanian authorities.

The accident happened on Monday, April 7, in the commune of Catcau, Cluj County.
According to Romanian press reports, a truck struck a Moldovan-registered minibus. Rescue teams, ambulances, and SMURD crews rushed to the scene. They found three minibus passengers trapped inside the vehicle and unconscious.
Rescuers managed to extract the victims from the wreckage, but unfortunately, the two men and one woman had suffered fatal injuries.
