The MIA of Moldova and the EU Mission synchronize actions in the field of security

The leadership of the Ministry of the Interior agreed with the newly established EU Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM Moldova) to synchronize actions in the field of security.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that such an agreement was reached the day before at a meeting in the ministry, infotag.md reports.

Members of the EUPM delegation were informed about the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to resolve crises of various natures, including those that may directly affect national security.

Areas and activities were discussed where the Mission and the MIA could synchronize their efforts to stimulate sustainable transformation in the field of security in the region, as well as at the European level.

European experts highly appreciated the level of expertise and methods of work developed by the Inspectorate for Operational Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in managing information flows, both within the ministry and at the interdepartmental level, in cooperation with other bodies in this area to counter hybrid threats.

The EU Civil Partnership Mission was launched in Chisinau on May 31 to increase the resilience of the security sector of the Republic of Moldova in the field of crisis management and hybrid threats, including in terms of cyber security and countering foreign interference and manipulation.
