The Minister of the Interior is ready to come to Parliament for hearings on the subject of drugs

Interior Minister Daniella Misail Nichitin said she is ready to appear in Parliament on Thursday to report on the situation regarding drug trafficking, after opposition parties requested hearings and the parliamentary majority supported the initiative, IPN reports. She described the move as a routine procedure.

“It is a standard procedure to present both perspectives on the requested topic and the results achieved,” the Interior Minister told the press.

During the February 19 plenary session, Parliament will also hear from Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu in connection with a simple motion concerning the state’s energy policy. Recently, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ludmila Catlabuga appeared before Parliament during the debate on a simple motion submitted by the opposition, which the majority ultimately rejected.

On Thursday, February 12, members of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova proposed summoning the Interior Minister to parliamentary hearings.
