The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) has launched a national campaign to promote the consumption of locally produced goods during the winter holidays and throughout the year. The campaign, titled “Choose Local Products for Christmas. And All Year Round,” began on December 17, 2024, and will run until March 1, 2025.
The campaign aims to support local producers and boost the national economy by promoting Moldovan agricultural and food products. Given that, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, total agricultural production in households across all categories decreased by 6.8% in January-September 2024 compared to the previous year, it is crucial to back local farmers and producers.
The central message of the campaign encourages consumers to choose local products for Christmas and beyond: “Choose Local Products for Christmas. And All Year Round.” Every purchase helps develop rural communities and strengthens the local economy.
