The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel alert for the State of Israel, following a deterioration in the security situation in the region and a high risk of escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

According to the institution, Israeli authorities have introduced nationwide restrictions valid until June 8, at 20:00. Educational institutions have suspended activities, public shelters have been opened, hospitals have switched to underground operations, public transport is limited, and public gatherings are restricted.

The MFA notes that Ben Gurion International Airport is currently operating normally; however, the situation remains volatile and may change rapidly.

In this context, the authorities in Chișinău recommend that citizens of the Republic of Moldova avoid non-essential travel to Israel and refrain from going to high-risk security areas, including the northern part of the country, border regions, and other areas affected by military developments.

Moldovan citizens currently in Israel are urged to avoid crowded places, identify nearby bomb shelters in advance, keep identity documents readily available, and continuously follow information and instructions issued by Israeli authorities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also states that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv is continuously monitoring security developments and maintaining contact with local authorities and international partners.
