The Moldovan Government will implement the “European Village” program projects in 612 settlements

The “European Village” program will implement projects in 612 localities in 2024, accounting for 82% of the total submitted projects, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu announced at a press conference.

Minister Spinu detailed that the program will build over 1,172 kilometers of water supply networks and 221 kilometers of sewerage networks in 223 villages. Additionally, 57 villages will benefit from 455 kilometers of street lighting networks.

The program will restore and rehabilitate 215 public and social buildings, including kindergartens, gymnasiums, sports complexes, houses of culture, and libraries. Furthermore, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will build 36 photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 2.8 MWh in 30 villages.

“The “European Village” Program remains the largest and most concrete infrastructure construction project in our villages and towns and the most important tool with which the government directly responds to the needs of our country’s settlements and people,” stated Andrei Spinu.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development will implement selected projects in 2024-2025.
