“NATO is proud to be Moldova’s partner.” The statement was made by the president of the Military Committee of the Alliance, Admiral Robert Bauer, who was on a visit to Chisinau.
The official pointed out that the Alliance will respect Moldova’s decisions and the path it will choose when it chooses its future. At the same time, he also mentioned that we need support to strengthen our resilience and political independence.
“We respect the neutrality of Moldova, enshrined in the Constitution. NATO respects Moldova’s right to make decisions to determine its future. NATO is proud to be Moldova’s partner”, Robert Bauer said.
A delegation led by Admiral Bauer is making an official visit to Chisinau, between May 15-17. The President of the NATO Military Committee has scheduled working meetings with the heads of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the National Army, officials from state institutions, as well as with representatives of the Parliamentary Commission for National Security, Defense, and Public Order.
