As of September 5, 2024, 1,342 people have registered to vote by mail. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, September 6, 2024. CEC representatives announced they would reduce the budget for the procedure based on the number of voters opting to cast their votes remotely, bani.md reports.
The cost will be calculated for three postal mailings – sending the ballot papers to the voter and receiving them after the person has made the choice. Voters will receive three ballot papers from the outset, including for the second round of the presidential election, but they will have the same content as in the first round.
