Prime Minister Dorin Recean is urging citizens to take part in the events scheduled for May 9. “We commemorate 80 years since the end of one of the bloodiest wars in Europe. May 9 also marks the beginning of peace on the European continent, which we continue to celebrate today,” the Prime Minister said during the cabinet meeting, according to IPN.
The day will begin with a traditional flower-laying ceremony at the Eternity Memorial Complex. At noon, officials will inaugurate the European Village in the Grand National Assembly Square.
“All ministers will be present in the Great National Assembly Square. We invite citizens to speak with us, ask questions, and share ideas about how we can shape our future here at home. At 19:00, we will host a concert in the square. I invite everyone to join the day’s events,” Recean said.
