RLIVE TV General Producer Sergiu Scobioala and journalist Traian Stoianov scored a remarkable victory at the fourth edition of the International Television Festival and Forum “Heart of Europe” in Warsaw, Poland. Their project, “The Prince,” a drama exploring the story of an African migrant in Moldova, was selected as the best pitch in the TV Serial category.
More than 100 projects entered the Feature Film, Documentary, and TV Series categories, but judges selected only 27 for pitch sessions. International juries of audiovisual experts chose the winners.
Realitatea Media Group developed “The Prince” as an ambitious project in co-production with the Shepherd Company. The series is currently in pre-production with financial support from the Content Fund. The project promises to bring to the forefront a compelling story about identity, migration, and cultural adaptation in a country with a complex history like Moldova. The Bridge program provided support, making participation in the festival possible.
“We are glad the story we are screening resonates with many people. This victory proves we’re on the right track, and we must keep moving forward,” said Sergiu Scobioala, the project author.
“This year, the competition was strong, with participants from different European countries extremely well prepared and with secured budgets. I formed a solid team with Sergiu, and we seemed to be the most convincing. The story of ‘The Prince’ was impressive and worth being made into a movie,” says Traian Stoianov, actor in the series and media representative of Rlive TV.
“Heart of Europe” is an international festival supported by Polish Public Television, bringing together public broadcasters from Central and Eastern Europe. The festival provides a platform to showcase the best audiovisual productions from the region, promoting international collaboration and co-productions.
