The Republic of Moldova ranks among the top countries in the digitalization of public services: Join the digital ”hora”

The e-Governance Agency (EGA) has launched the national campaign “Join the Digital ‘Hora’!” to promote access to digital public services. The campaign encourages all citizens to participate in the digital transformation, using the traditional hora as a symbol of unity and collaboration, reinterpreted in a modern way.

The Republic of Moldova is making significant progress toward fully digitalizing public services, positioning itself as a regional leader. Citizens now have access to 288 out of 636 available public services online, a notable milestone that boosts transparency, cuts down on bureaucracy, and improves overall quality of life. Digitalization plays a crucial role in fostering a dynamic and transparent economy, making it easier for citizens to access information and government services. This shift is essential for reducing corruption and building an efficient, accountable state that earns the trust of its people.

“Digitalization is not just a global trend; it is essential for providing citizens with easy and efficient access to public services. With this campaign, we aim to make electronic public services more accessible to everyone, regardless of age or location. The ‘hora,’ a symbol of unity and cooperation, perfectly represents the spirit of digitalization—a process where everyone is encouraged to participate. We believe that digitalization can simplify daily life for everyone, helping to build a modern and well-connected society,” said Andrei Prisacari, Director of the Agency for Electronic Governance (AGE).

The initiative will run until April 2025. During this period, the official website of the Agency for Electronic Governance – https://egov.md/ro – will feature a dedicated section for the “Join the Digitalization ‘Hora’!” communication campaign, including all related materials.
