Moldova’s Minister of Economy officially presented the “Reușim” (“We Succeed”) reform program, which he first announced during Reinvent Moldova 2.0, an event organized by Media Group Realitatea. Authorities say the project aims to create a business environment comparable to those in European Union countries.

The initiative includes amendments to various regulations, alignment of national legislation with EU rules, a review of existing regulations, and the introduction of best practices from EU member states. Through these measures, authorities aim to retain and develop businesses in the Republic of Moldova and attract foreign investment.

As part of the reform, authorities plan to eliminate authorization requirements and regulations not required under EU norms, reduce the costs and negative impact generated by current requirements, simplify regulations and remote economic activity, lower the risks of sanctions and business suspension, and introduce other measures intended to improve the business climate.

Eugen Osmochescu said the program would evolve through cooperation and practical implementation rather than through a single law.

“It is not a program that you will find set in stone or reflected in a single law adopted by Parliament. It is something we want to achieve through the dedicated efforts of everyone involved. Through this program, we are coming with certain initiatives, but we also want to highlight Moldova’s achievements to citizens and the business community and present success stories. We will work, cooperate, and collaborate together in various fields,” Eugen Osmochescu said.

On April 30, the Minister of Economy announced the launch of the “Reușim” government program during Reinvent Moldova 2.0. At the time, he did not provide details and said authorities would present them later during the official launch press conference.
