The government has planned to increase incomes and salaries for several social categories in 2025. The total wage package will rise from 25 billion lei to 30 billion lei.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that more than 50,000 teachers, educators, and researchers will receive a salary increase of about 9% this year.
Interior Ministry employees, including police officers, border guards, rescuers, firefighters, and staff from the National Probation Inspectorate and Penitentiary Administration, will also see their salaries rise by 9%.

Salaries will increase by about 15% in the health sector. This adjustment will benefit 51,000 individuals under the compulsory health insurance system and 13,000 state-employed doctors, forensic experts, medical assistants, and nurses.
The national minimum wage will increase from 5,000 lei to 5,500 lei, benefiting at least 33,000 employees in both public and private sectors.
The government will also enhance support for veterans of the 1992 war. Their monthly allowance will rise to 1,610 lei, along with additional benefits and facilities.
