The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemitanu” of the Republic of Moldova entered the top of the best universities in the world

The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMP) “Nicolae Testemitanu” of the Republic of Moldova remains in the top 10% of the Global Aggregate Ranking for the third consecutive year, ranking among the top 2500 universities in the world.

The Global Aggregate Ranking 2024 edition is an independent tool for evaluating higher education based on data from 2023 and includes 13 global institutional rankings and the European database of accredited programs.

USMP “Nicolae Testemitanu” is included in two rankings, ranking 901 globally in The Three University Missions (MosIUR) and 2456 in SCImago Institutions Rankings (SCIMAGO), and is registered in the European database of accredited DEQAR programs. It is institutionally accredited according to the World Federation for Medical Education standards, including the three integrated degree programs (Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy).

The Rector of USMP “Nicolae Testemitanu,” Emil Ceban, said that the presence of the University in this ranking is an appreciation of the activity and performance of the university community.

USMP “Nicolae Testemitanu” was the first university in the Republic of Moldova to be included in the Global Aggregate Ranking in 2022. The ranking evaluates 3627 universities from 132 countries according to the MetALig methodology.
