The National Center of Cinematography of the Republic of Moldova has announced the launch of the 2025 Film Project Financing Competition.
Production companies (producers) can apply in the following categories:
- Feature fiction
- Feature documentary
- Minority co-production
- Short fiction
- Short documentary
- Development
- Post-production
Competition Stages
The competition consists of two stages:
- Evaluation of the Creative Dossier – In the first stage, the Evaluation Committee reviews the submitted Creative Dossier. Applicants must also present their projects to a specialized jury.
- Evaluation of the Technical Dossier – Applicants who pass the first stage must submit the Technical Dossier within 15 days of the first-stage results being published.
The Moldovan state budget funds the 2025 competition session. The submission period runs from February 3 to March 11, 2025, at 18:00.

Budget and Funding Ceilings
The total budget for the 2025 session is 10,000,000 lei. Funding ceilings per category are as follows:
- 3.0 million lei – Feature fiction
- 1.0 million lei – Feature documentary
- 1.0 million lei – Minority co-production
- 300,000 lei – Short fiction
- 150,000 lei – Short documentary
- 200,000 lei – Development
- 200,000 lei – Post-production
The Council reserves the right to modify funding ceilings by up to 20%.
