They are already winners! Moldova to Compete for the First Time at European Paralympic Youth Games

The Republic of Moldova will make its debut at the European Paralympic Youth Games (EPYG), taking place July 25–30 in Istanbul, Turkey. The event brings together athletes with disabilities under the age of 23 from across Europe.

Moldova will field four para-judo athletes:

  • Simion Bondarenco – 62 kg category
  • Vadim Cretul – 73 kg category
  • Anatol Bulat – 90 kg category
  • Anastasia Cusnir – 46 kg category

The judo competitions are set for July 25.

“These young athletes are already winners. Competing at this level and representing Moldova is a major accomplishment. We wish them great success!” said Sergiu Gurin, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Research.
